Salary: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/third‑level experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promoting a positive, productive environment, and partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. This role analyzes store financial statements, commits to the company’s asset‑protection program, promotes our business, and targets new customer acquisitions.
The position covers a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and much more.
- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Planned to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with law.
- Capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Can assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Must be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
- Must have ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
