Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities Opening & Closing
  • Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required system start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
  • Responsible for opening the back door of store for deliveries.
Cash Handling & Customer Transactions
  • Perform product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
  • Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
  • Assist and coach other team members on the warehouse and vendor ordering process.
  • Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including records of scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
  • Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions on order release day and reverse logistics.
  • Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities.
  • Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
  • Perform basic department pricing and make daily price changes; ensure proper signage is displayed to support accurate pricing.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies, and perform stock rotation.
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
  • Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
  • Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks to team members when store management is not present.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Employment consideration for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
