The Guardians are looking for service minded teammates, who are committed to working together to help us create amazing memories for fans, each other and all visitors to Goodyear Ballpark.
PRIMARYPURPOSE:
Retrieve bats and balls in the field of play, while maintaining a positive attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Assist in the preparation of bench and bench areas on a daily basis.
- Maintain bats and balls during all games, including removal of stained balls.
- Assist in the breakdown of bench and bench area daily at the conclusion of the game.
- Attend to individual needs of players during the game.
- Arrive at the complex 45 minutes prior to the start of each home game. Leave approximately 45 minutes after the end of each home game.
- Ability to follow transportation rules to and from the ballpark.
- Ability to complete a daily timesheet.
- Ability to provide clean white baseball pants and baseball cleats for each game.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Ability to evaluate the needs of players and co-workers and make decisions accordingly

- Ability to work long hours with differing times
- Able to be present for at least 10 home Spring Training games

- Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners, teammates, and the public.
- Ability to build robust, professional relationships with teammates by demonstrating interpersonal skills, approachability, and a collaborative spirit contributing to a positive, respectful work environment.
- Ability to perform the essential physical requirements of the role as outlined in the job description, which may include extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, or navigating a multilevel ballpark.
- Adapt quickly and effectively to a fast-paced, dynamic, and diverse work environment.
- Ability to act according to organizational values and service excellence at all times.
- Willingness to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $15.15. This rate serves as a general guideline; actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
