Maintenance Supervisor

Goole, DN14

£45,000 - £50,000 DOE

Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm | Friday 8:00am-2:00pm

Our client is seeking an experienced electrically biased maintenance engineer to lead a small engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role combines maintenance, fault finding, team leadership and continuous improvement activities to ensure plant reliability and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate and support a small team of one mechanically biased and one newly qualified engineer.
  • Manage and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance (PPM) programme.
  • Prioritise maintenance activities and coordinate engineering resources.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
  • Support production teams with engineering solutions.
  • Maintain compliance, documentation and safety standards.
  • Assist with contractor management and site improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Apprentice trained (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within manufacturing.

Experience with:

  • Three-phase and single-phase motors
  • Electrical panel wiring
  • PLC fault finding
  • Inverters and control systems
  • Conveyor systems
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience with in manufacturing, packaging or processing environments.
  • Knowledge of labelling and printing equipment.
  • Continuous improvement or lean manufacturing experience.
