Pensions Officer

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Pensions Officer to join East Riding Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a ful-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

* Interpret and apply LGPS regulations and overriding legislation to support accurate pension administration.

* Provide technical support and guidance on complex pension cases and enquiries.

* Check work for accuracy and identify and resolve complex issues.

* Conduct manual testing of pension benefit calculations to ensure they meet regulatory and statutory requirements.

* Review changes to benefit calculations and assess their accuracy and implications.

* Monitor and improve data quality and compliance with regulations and GDPR.

* Keep up to date with changes to pension legislation and regulatory requirements and communicate updates to colleagues.

* Respond to enquiries from customers and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

* Experience with in LGPS/pensions administration.

* Good understanding of pension regulations and relevant legislation.

* Experience handling complex pension cases and enquiries.
