Up to £40,000 (DOE)
Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:30

The Opportunity

A well-established and highly reputable logistics operator in Goole is looking to appoint an experienced Transport Planner to join their busy and fast-paced transport team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company known for its professionalism, strong customer relationships, and commitment to operational excellence. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the efficient planning and utilisation of a busy fleet while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and service delivery.

The Role

As Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently, safely, and on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and optimising daily fleet operations for maximum efficiency
  • Managing driver schedules and ensuring full coverage at all times
  • Liaising with customers to manage bookings and service expectations
  • Monitoring live operations and adapting plans as required
  • Conducting driver briefings and debriefings
  • Ensuring compliance with Driver Hours, WTD, and Operator Licence regulations
  • Managing PODs and handling any operational issues or incidents
About You

You’ll be an organised and proactive planner who thrives in a fast-moving environment.

  • Proven experience in a transport planning role
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation (Driver Hours, Tachographs, WTD)
  • Understanding of Operator Licence requirements and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

    Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office and planning systems)
  • A professional, team-focused attitude
