Language Arts Teacher

American Traveler is hiring a Mandarin Language Arts Teacher for a K-8 school setting requiring a valid South Carolina teaching certification.

• Valid South Carolina teaching certification required
• License required if applicable
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred
• Experience teaching foreign language at the elementary and/or middle school level preferred
• Strong communication and classroom management skills required
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls regularly
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

• Non-clinical school setting at an elementary and middle school (K-8)
• Special area class teaching Mandarin foreign language
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:15am-3:45pm, 40 hours per week
• Develop and implement foreign language curriculum for Mandarin
• Engage students in interactive, project-based learning experiences
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Foster a supportive and collaborative classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student development
• Maintain accurate records of student performance
• Participate in school-wide events and activities
• Occasional local travel for school-related functions may be required
• Operates in a professional school environment using standard office and instructional equipment
