• Accountable for performing day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and positive patient experience. Serves as a full‑time certified pharmacy technician.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers under pharmacist supervision, within company policy, regulations and business ethics.
• Manage selection, scheduling, training, and development of pharmacy technician personnel. Lead coaching, performance management, discipline, and termination decisions.
• Engage and greet customers and patients, offering assistance with products and services, resolving complaints, responding to requests, and answering non‑clinical questions. Model customer service best practices.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, anticipating needs and proactively offering services to enhance the pharmacy experience.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care delivery: registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, counting, and verification (where allowed by law). Call patients and physicians under pharmacist supervision (where allowed). Assist with health service offerings such as vaccines, screenings, and other permitted services.
• Delegate and assign non‑clinical work, ensuring tasks are completed on time and that the pharmacy maintains a clean, neat, orderly, and adequately stocked environment.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
• Coordinate and organize the pharmacy daily schedule, recommend allocation of hours, and seek to improve operational quality, financial performance, and customer service.
• Drive technology/process roll‑outs, champion change, and engage the team around action planning. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy equipment. Maintain security safeguards for records.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy and security protocols, reporting any diversion concerns.
• Communicate prescription errors and participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
• Process insurance claims accurately, resolve customer issues, and follow up with insurers and providers.
• Assist Store and Pharmacy Managers in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operations, and quality.
• Manage community outreach portal, coordinate pharmacist assignment to off‑site immunization clinics and community events, and build relationships with retail partners.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital settings.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain an active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except for Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations).

• Prior people management or leadership experience.
• Previous experience with Walgreens with an “Exceeding Expectation” rating on the last performance evaluation.
