We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to join our team of professionals. The Assistant Property Manager will manage the rent collection process and assist the Community Manager. In the absence of the Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager will perform the duties associated with that position. Above all else, teamwork and cooperation with other team members will improve the job they do and enhance the entire work experience.
This position is offering $1,500 Retention Bonus and has the potential to earn both commissions and bonuses exceeding $1,000 per month.
On any given day you will do one or all of the following- Provide superior customer service
- Collect rent payments and past‑due balances from residents
- Receive and process collections in accordance with company standards
- Maintain all resident files, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all paperwork and documentation
- Demonstrate ability to resolve resident complaints and direct pertinent issues and matters to the Community Manager
- Conduct resident move‑out apartment inspections and complete deposit accountings with Community Manager’s approval
- Maintain all account records and transactions including NSF’s, rent allowances, concessions, rent increases, and other management‑approved debits and credits
- In Community Manager’s absence, aid in monitoring staff for the successful operation of the community
- Be thoroughly familiar with the local area and the community and what it has to offer prospective residents
- Other duties per job description
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of Real Page products preferred, including One Site
- Possess strong multi‑tasking and organizational skills
- Have a complete understanding of Fair Housing and knowledge of other laws that apply to property management, such as Fair Credit Reporting Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Landlord‑Tenant Law, OSHA Standards, local and state building codes
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment with little direction
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred - Experience:
Two years+ of residential property management experience as an Assistant Community Manager - Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) a plus
- Able to work weekends
- Able to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs for long periods of time
- Able to travel and stay overnight, as needed
