Responsibilities
  • Lay out, fit, align, and assemble prefabricated cast and forged components prior to welding, soldering, brazing, or bonding operations.
  • Perform fitting and machining operations such as straighten, grind, burr, drill, ream, and countersink materials to close tolerances.
  • Select equipment, set up, and lay out materials to be welded in accordance with general instructions.
  • Repair or rework parts to restore required tolerances that have become distorted as a result of welding operations.
  • Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Apprentice graduate or Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • May require relevant certification.
