Automotive Business Development Manager – Bartech Staffing

Base Pay Range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Job Summary

Bartech Staffing, a leading engineering and professional staffing firm, is hiring a contract Automotive Coatings Sales Representative to work with one of our major clients. The role focuses on new business development in automotive coatings and supports market development, training, and customer engagement.

Job Responsibilities
  • Drive new business development in automotive coatings – focus on acquiring new customers, not account management.
  • Support market development and create marketing concepts, including feature/benefit information for products.
  • Conduct customer workshops, technical trainings, and manage color approval processes.
  • Independently manage accounts, understand customer needs, and support contracts and agreements.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that meet objectives.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, issue professional quotations, and participate in cross‑department meetings.
  • Submit visit reports and weekly planning using company tools.
  • Travel up to 70% (mostly domestic, occasional international to Germany, Mexico, Canada).
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED required;
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of sales experience in automotive coatings (open to more experience for higher salary).
  • Strong negotiating and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure.
  • Must be passionate about new customer acquisition and business growth.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience in automotive coatings sales or related industries.
  • Strong customer engagement and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
