Internship: AI Adoption Intern
Join Damen AI Team to develop scalable AI solutions. The internship is based in Gorinchem, starting October, and works on‑site.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with business stakeholders across divisions to identify and scope AI use cases
- Rapidly prototype automation agents, workflows, and low‑code solutions based on business requirements
- Develop and iterate on Copilot agents, Power Automate flows, and tools using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform and Azure
- Use development tools such as Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot and OpenAI Codex to accelerate prototype development
- Document use cases, technical designs and prototype outcomes in a structured and reproducible way
- Present prototypes and findings to business stakeholders and the team
- Support the handover of validated prototypes to technical teams for production deployment
- Benchmark Damen’s low‑code AI approach against industry best practices and emerging tools
- MSc or advanced Bachelor’s student at the intersection of Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Management or a related field
- Hands‑on experience or strong interest in low‑code development platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform or Copilot Studio
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Git Hub Copilot or OpenAI Codex
- Ability to write basic scripts or automation logic in Python or Java Script
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured technical solutions
- Fluent in English
- Academic‑level mentoring throughout the internship
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise AI adoption in a high‑impact environment
- Internship compensation and travel allowance in line with company policy
- Exposure to enterprise AI platforms including Microsoft Copilot, Azure and cutting‑edge AI development tools
- Direct interaction with business stakeholders and decision makers across Damen’s divisions
