General Science Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary cover starting January 2026 and ongoing

Duties as General Science Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages, tailored to meet the needs of all learners
Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning
Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning space
Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practice
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to departmental planning

Ideal General Science Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Specialist subject knowledge in Science across Key Stages
Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Previous experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting is desirable
