Staff Nurse - Ward 21

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered Staff Nurse to support the peripatetic team. You will be required to confidently support the team, focusing on engaging with colleagues, adapting, and being flexible to the complex nature of Ward 21 where nursing standards could evenვე be improved. The ideal candidate will be an experienced band 5 nurse with experience in an acute setting.

This role covers long days, nights and weekends.
Main duties of the job- The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
- Ensure that agreed standards of nursing practice within the ward/department area are maintained.
- Ensure that all Trust, Divisional, and Ward/Department Health & Safety Policies are adhered to.
- To be a team player supporting patients and the team.
- To have a holistic approach to the delivery of nursing care.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council
- Diploma or degree in nursing
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Relevant experience in past 12-18 months of looking after patients in a health care environment
- Previous experience in acute clinical setting
- Broad clinicalìomh knowledge base
- Previous NHS experience in last 12 months
- Previous experience in surgical/medical specialities
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Confident and calm attitude with the ability to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Motivated and enthusiastic, shows initiative
