The Trust is seeking a Band 6 Cross sectional Imaging Radiographer to join our team in CT and MRI scanning. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of CT & MRI and will work alongside our current team on the rota. Radiographers work in both CT and MR scanning. We operate a shift pattern covering 24/7, 7 days a week.
Staff are on-site for 12 hours at a time in the vast majority of cases. Our staff work across multiple areas including the CDCs for imaging, with two sites within an 8 mile radius of the main hospital site.
The ideal candidate will be motivated to ensure that every patient receives a positive experience through understanding and friendly service. The team strives to place patients at the centre of all plans.
Main duties of the jobWe offer a variety of work including cardiac CT, perfusion CT, dedicated GA sessions in MR, MR arthrograms and angiography. The Trust supports trials, research and audit, and works closely with many areas to provide the best, timely service for all patients.
Radiographer duties include scanning, record keeping, booking appointments, use of the RIS system, IV cannulation, and patient care activities, among others.
This position will suit a flexible, eager-to-learn and caring person with excellent communication skills. We would be willing to consider an Annex 21 training post for the right candidate.
