Salary: £85.50 £ 90 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a secondary school in Swansea that has a highly regarded Specialist Teaching Facility (STF) supporting pupils with ALN.

The provision has a strong focus on inclusion, small-class learning and personalised support
, with tailored literacy, numeracy and communication interventions designed around individual learning needs.

The school is looking for an ALN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to pupils with needs including MLD, ASD and other additional learning needs.

Opportunities may include day-to-day and temporary part-time cover
, with the potential for the right candidate to progress into longer-term or permanent full-time opportunities

• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
• Experience supporting children or young people with ALN
• Experience providing 1:1 support to pupils with MLD, ASD or additional learning needs
• A patient, nurturing approach to individual learning and development
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow tailored learning strategies
• A flexible, positive and adaptable approach
