MHS Consulting seeks a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Consulting Project Assistant to provide administrative support to our consulting team and leadership. This position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operations for executive search projects, survey management, and client-facing deliverables. The ideal candidate is resourceful, emotionally intelligent, and thrives in a fast‑paced consulting environment that values trust, collaboration, and excellence.
As the Project Assistant, you will be an integral member of the MHS Consulting team, supporting consultants and leadership by managing priorities, anticipating needs, and facilitating efficient project execution. Your work will include managing executive search candidate pipelines, administering assessments, coordinating survey processes, preparing professional client materials, and assisting with scheduling and other communications. By ensuring operational excellence, you will enable the consulting team to focus on strategic priorities and client relationships.
RESPONSIBILITIESExecutive Search:
Candidate Support and Document Organization
- Monitor the MHS Consulting Searches inbox for new candidates; distribute resumes and cover letters to consultants on a scheduled basis.
- Enter candidate information into tracking systems and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Assist with tracking project deadlines and communicating with consultants, ensuring timely preparation of candidate materials.
- Assist with administering assessments (e.g., DiSC, Gallup) to candidates and forward results to consultants.
- Assisted with preparing professional candidate profiles and coordinating review and finalization prior to client presentation.
Distribution and Management
- Review and edit consultant‑developed surveys for formatting, clarity, and professionalism.
- Oversee the distribution of surveys by stakeholder groups, including email and paper‑based methods.
- Manage survey communications, including templated emails, reminders, and progress updates.
- Collect and compile survey results for consultants, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical files; ensure timely sharing of reports and materials with consultants and clients.

- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of administrative experience, or high school diploma with 4+ years’ relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and agility
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and database systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional documents and correspondence.
- Proven discretion, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.
- High level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and client service orientation.
- This part‑time, non‑exempt position is based in the Goshen, IN office and has hybrid potential.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on the needs of the organization. The position will generally be 15‑20 hours per week, with hours varying based on workload. Occasional travel will be required. Working hours will be primarily during MHS Consulting business hours on Monday‑Friday, 8:00‑4:30.
