Make a Difference in the Life of a Child. Bashor Children’s Home is seeking compassionate and committed Youth Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide direct care and supervision for youth in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. You ll play a critical role in fostering emotional growth, teaching life skills, and helping youth build a brighter future.

• Build and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for youth.
• Supervise and support youth to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Teach and model positive coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills.
• Lead group activities that support social, recreational, and personal development.
• Monitor and document daily behavior, progress, and any incidents.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, using de-escalation and emergency protocols when needed.
• Communicate regularly with youth and staff regarding progress and concerns.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous learning opportunities.
• Follow all agency policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards.

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience or training in trauma-informed care, behavior management, or therapeutic environments is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
• Dependable, calm under pressure, and effective at problem-solving.
• Willingness to work a consistent schedule, including rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
• Must pass background checks and drug screening as required.

  Shifts:
  
  First shift: 6AM - 2:30PM | $18.05/hour
• Second Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM | $19.87/hour
• PRN (As Needed): PRN Base Rate: $15.45/hour
• First Shift (PRN): 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Second Shift (PRN): 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
• Third Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Weekend Premium: Additional $3.00/hour for weekend shifts
• Shift Structure: Full-time staff on 1st and 2nd shifts work a 4-days-on / 2-days-off rotation
• All full-time staff share on-call responsibilities and weekend rotations
