The Packer reports to a supervisor and is responsible for following a schedule, putting labels, installing screens, and loading finished windows onto racks for shipping.
Essential Functions
Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsPositions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurementsAssembles and packages components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesKeeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements.Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for suppliesDaily communication with supervisor regarding potential issuesMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Ensures safety measures are followed to protect personnel and company propertyContributes to team effort by accomplishing quality and timely resultsPerform other duties as directed by supervisor and managementMust be able to multitask and attention to detailCompetencies

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to count and record findings. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crouching, carrying items, crawling, and climbing all day. The team member may have to lift and/or move items up to more than 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position, and the expected work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday; weekend and overnight work is also necessary.
