Maintenance Engineer

Job Title:

Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical / Multi‑Skilled)
- Location:

Hampshire - Shift: Days or Nights available

To provide mechanical and/or electrical maintenance support to production and ancillary equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency and uptime. All work must comply with company Health & Safety policies and relevant legislation.

• Diagnose and repair faults on production and ancillary equipment
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
• Complete tooling changes and machine adjustments (with support where required)
• Rebuild spare assemblies and manage critical spare parts
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation using PC‑based systems
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment
• Investigate and resolve processing problems with engineering and production teams
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work
• Maintain clean and safe working areas
• Attend training as required

• Industrial maintenance experience within manufacturing, FMCG, or similar environments
• Candidates from service engineering, heavy industry, Armed Forces (Army, Navy, RAF) or other industrial sectors will be considered where relevant industrial experience is demonstrated
• Experience working with high‑speed production machinery (desirable)
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and LOTO procedures

• PLC control systems and automation
• 4‑axis and 6‑axis robotics
• Thermocouples and control systems

• Time‑served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)
• ONC / HNC / BTEC Level 3 in Engineering (desirable)
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
