Overview

Standard Aero has an exciting opportunity for a strategic Human Resources Leader to join one of the largest independent aviation service businesses in the world. Standard Aero is a leading provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services including engine repair and overhaul, component repair and overhaul, airframe repair, overhaul and paint, engine component repair and overhaul, avionics upgrades, engineering services and interior completions across the Commercial Airlines & Fleets, Business Aviation and Military & Energy sectors.

The Company is a global organization with ~7000 employees working out of facilities strategically located in 55 primary locations across 6 continents.

Reporting directly to the UK HR Director, the Senior HR Business Partner for the UK Rotary business will act as a key member of the UK Rotary leadership team, with accountability to the VP GM, UK Rotary Business. The Senior HR Business Partner will be accountable for the leadership and delivery of results in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations and Leadership Development for the Rotary Business Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the trusted advisor to the Rotary VP GM and other members of Leadership, providing daily input and guidance on the people, teams or programs needing the attention in order to drive people objectives.
  • Develop, coordinate and participate in creative solutions to business challenges and cultural change.
  • Identify and coordinate long term talent management planning to develop longer term organizational capability.
  • Partner with Business Leadership on business growth activities including acquisitions and integrations.
  • Routinely consult and engage with the Rotary Leadership team to foster and promote engagement at all levels of the organization.
  • Partner with line managers, coaching and advising them on all people matters.
  • Take appropriate actions to address and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Work directly with the recognised trade Union(s), holding monthly meetings and building on the existing positive relationships within the Client Group(s).
  • Pro-actively engage with the company’s designated Occupational Health Service to leverage support to the maximum benefit of both employees and the business.
  • Ensure the consistent and equitable application of organization policies and procedures.
  • In coordination with the broader HR team, ensure that Standard Aero UK is compliant with Standard Aero practices and procedures.
  • Actively engage in and communicate regional and corporate initiatives for the Rotary Business Unit.
  • Prepare reports, documentation and relevant presentations that are required on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Participate in site-wide and company-wide HR initiatives as required.
Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a significant portion of that time spent in a strategic HRBP or senior-level role.
  • Proven experience in partnering with senior leadership, managing complex HR challenges, and leading organizational change.
  • Experience in multiple HR domains, such as talent management, performance management, employee relations, compensation, organizational development, and Trade Union relations.
  • Familiarity with HR technology and data analytics tools to drive decisions (HRIS systems, reporting tools, etc.).
  • Experience with organizational design and change management.
