Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Effectively carry out a variety of maintenance activities within trade boundaries and authorisations, following current procedures and approved source information.
  • Contribute to team delivery of agreed targets and goals.
  • Comply with current Tool Control procedures.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings.
  • Carry out Improving Quality and Continuous Quality Improvement reviews.
  • Support a climate of continuous improvement to assist productivity, quality and lean methodology.
  • Undertake work to the highest level of competence and perform other duties within the team to support output.
  • Work within and promote the Behavioural Competencies.
  • Adhere to procedures relating to foreign object debris control.
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and associated business manuals.

  • Core:
    • Team worker with the ability to fully interact with other team members.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Essential:
    • Ability to provide advice as a subject matter expert.
  • Desirable:
    • Additional criteria not critical to job performance.
Functional Competencies
  • Full compliance and understanding of the Quality Management System.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
Organisational Relationships
  • Reports directly to the Front Line Manager.
Professional Qualifications / Education and Training
  • Essential:
    • Recognised indentured apprenticeship or military equivalent.
    • Human Factors training.
    • Experience working with electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Desirable:
    • Suitable engineering qualification, preferably in an aviation area.
    • Previous experience of independent inspections.
    • Familiarity with Military MRP 145 and associated Regulatory Articles (RA’s).
Experience
  • Previous experience within a maintenance hangar would be an advantage.
