Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, DevOps

The Software Engineer will work within the Systems and Software team in the Programmes area of STS Defence, developing and maintaining software throughout the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements elicitation, through to in service delivery. The post will provide hands on software development on projects for key stakeholders undertaken by the company. This includes responsibility for developing and managing code, writing documentation and working with other engineering peers to working to relevant quality standards across the software team.

The Software Engineer will also assist in support of wider business objectives exploring new technologies for product creation, development and R&D to grow our software development capability stream; and provide support to existing software projects as required.
