Job Description

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a financial company in Grafton, MA. Saturday and Sunday 3 PM – 11 PM. Starting pay is $23.50 per hour, with paid orientation and paid training. Candidates must be 21+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

The Security Officer will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions. As a front‑desk security professional, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and assisting employees while monitoring access to the location. Your presence helps deter security‑related incidents and fosters a welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials as needed to help deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal protocols and site‑specific guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance related to security‑related matters.
  • Operate security‑related equipment such as access control systems, visitor management systems, and/or surveillance cameras as required at the front desk.
Minimum Requirements
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
