Production Manager
Exciting Production Supervisor opening with a growing pharmaceutical company in the greater Milwaukee, WI area. Job #: 2086669.
Responsibilities- Ensure manufacturing operations are efficiently carried out in compliance with all government regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that personal and departmental conduct is in compliance with the Code of Conduct.
- Implement and adhere to all applicable SHE and cGMP regulations.
- Follow and adhere to Leader Standardized Work for Shift Supervisors.
- Coordinate and oversee the assignment, training, development, and motivation of employees to ensure attainment of short- and long-term goals.
- Lead and support problem solving and troubleshooting activities as needed to ensure continuing operations.
- Perform and train manufacturing operations and serve as the lead operator in these activities.
- Coordinate time off requests of operators to provide coverage, including posting of OT sheets and coordinating vacation and personal time off requests.
- Assist area management in reviewing production schedules, metrics, and investigates variances as appropriate.
- Assist area management in supporting the Quality System, including management of manufacturing deviations, and changes to equipment, processes and documents.
- Coordinate with maintenance to ensure safe and effective execution of maintenance activities in assigned areas (i.e., safe work, hot work permits, lockout/tagout, and confined space entry).
- Serve as Incident Commander during emergency response.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Directly supervises assigned Chemical Operators on their shift. Responsible for the overall management of staffing, training, attendance, and performance of the Chemical Operators on the shift for which a Shift Supervisor is responsible.
Education and Experience- A four-year degree in life or physical sciences, engineering, or equivalent technical field, or equivalent related experience within pharmaceutical or fine chemical manufacturing.
- 3–5 years hands-on experience with chemical process unit operations, preferably in a pharmaceutical or a fine chemical facility.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, such as Delta
V, SAP, and Microsoft Office (preferred). - Prior supervisory experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cGMP regulations for active pharmaceutical ingredients (strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of Process Improvement methodology (i.e., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S) a plus.
