Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology, Adjunct Instructor

The HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic, hands‑on learning environment. The instructor will develop, deliver, and evaluate course content, including both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of HVACR. The role requires a commitment to ensuring students receive quality education, aligning with industry standards, and preparing them for careers in HVACR technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Delivering lectures, lab demonstrations, and hands‑on training in HVACR systems and technologies.
  • Preparing course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Assessing student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical evaluations.
  • Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of HVACR trends, codes, and industry advancements.
  • Providing guidance and academic support to students.
  • Maintaining a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Collaborating with other faculty and staff to improve instructional methods and program offerings.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
Required
  • Associate's degree in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R)
  • EPA 608 Certification
Preferred
  • Industry HVAC-R experience
  • Teaching Experience
