Direct Commodity Leader
Key responsibilities:
develop and implement effective strategies for sourcing direct materials globally and regionally, negotiate contracts with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms; continuously monitor market trends, raw material prices, and potential risks; build and maintain strong supplier relationships; conduct cost analysis, perform cost modeling, and monitor productivity initiatives to achieve cost‑effective procurement and meet budgeted objectives; identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure business continuity;
work closely with internal teams (Purchasing, Production, Project teams, and Finance) to understand material requirements and communicate forecasts and delivery schedules.
- Analytical & Strategic Skills – ability to analyze complex data, develop long‑term strategies, and perform cost modeling.
- Negotiation Skills – proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Industry Knowledge – deep understanding of the commodity market, supply chain principles, and legal aspects of procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future employment‑based visa sponsorship.
