Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a TX or compact RN license and 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Med/Surg experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start

• Med/Surg unit (Floor
  3) with 36 beds
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Day shift schedule, 7a-7p
• No call responsibilities
• No floating required
• EMR system used is MEDHOST
• 13-week assignment
• Must work all holidays
• No 48-hour work requirement
• RTO requests must be submitted in advance and limited to a maximum of 3 days
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• No local candidates considered due to radius rule
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
