Our client, is seeking a Accountant, technicien comptable to join their team. As a Accountant, technicien comptable, you will be part of the Finance Department.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to month-end close, and the confidence to work with ERP systems and IFRS-based accounting.
Job Title: Accountant,comptable
Location: Granby, QC
Pay Range: $55000 - $65000
What's the Job?- Book journal entries in SAP based on IFRS
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting to HQ
- Prepare quarter-end closing package footnotes
- Categorize transactions by CoA (Chart of Accounts) and handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Prepare and file sales tax returns, and assist with sales tax and statutory audits
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting
- Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations
- Experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Experience with intercompany transactions
- English is required;
French is preferred - Good knowledge of SAP (FI/CO modules preferred) and general accounting principles and IFRS; basic knowledge of cost accounting using IFRS and Canada/Quebec tax law
- Work on end-to-end accounting activities, from journal entries to month-end closing and audit support
- Build strong expertise in IFRS-based accounting and SAP-driven reporting
- Contribute directly to sales tax return preparation and filing, including audit readiness
- Develop deeper understanding of intercompany reconciliations and CoA transaction categorization
- Collaborate with HQ through monthly financial statement reporting and quarter-end deliverables
