Design medium-complexity transformers and reactors with technical guidance at Hammond Power Solutions in Guelph, Ontario. Apply electrical engineering fundamentals while supporting customers and projects.
As an Electrical Engineering Designer - L1, you will design transformers and reactors from simple to high complexity. The work includes reviewing application requirements, making technical decisions, and developing cost-effective solutions. You will also support drafting, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customers while meeting project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Design medium-complexity transformers and reactors using existing rules
- Clarify application requirements and discuss suggestions with customers
- Prepare technical quotes and factory cost particulars
- Optimize designs and manufacturing information packages for orders
- Support drafting, manufacturing, customers, and quality assurance
- Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Engineering Technologist qualification
- Three to five years designing transformers and related products
- Firm understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
- Working toward or eligible for Professional Engineering designation
- Engineering calculations, stress analysis, programming, and Microsoft Office experience
