Electrical Engineering Transformer Designer

Design transformers and reactors at Hammond Power Solutions in Guelph, using electrical engineering fundamentals and customer-focused communication. Technical guidance supports medium-complexity projects.
As an Electrical Engineering Designer - L1, you will create designs for transformers and related products. You will review applications, clarify requirements with customers, and prepare technical quotes. The work includes optimized designs, manufacturing support, drafting coordination, engineering calculations, and project cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

Design medium-complexity transformers and reactors using existing rules
Review applications and clarify requirements with customers
Prepare quotes with technical particulars and factory costs
Coordinate drafting and optimize designs for orders
Support manufacturing, customers, field issues, and quality assurance
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred
Electrical Engineering Technologist qualification accepted as minimum
Three to five years designing transformers and related products
Understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and engineering calculations
Programming language experience and Microsoft Office proficiency
