Description

The Director of Sales Operations leads project operations that drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction across Kinsley’s Sales and Sales Support teams. This role oversees the full lifecycle of complex projects, aligning processes with company goals and fostering cross-department collaboration.

This leader directs Kinsley’s Inside Sales organization—including Estimating, Project Management, and Project Engineering—to ensure seamless execution from sale to delivery. They balance commercial performance with operational excellence, promoting consistency, efficiency, and accountability throughout every project phase.

  • Lead and develop Inside Sales, Project Management, and Project Engineering teams, providing direction, prioritization, and resource alignment across a high volume of projects throughout the Northeast.
  • Build scalable systems, dashboards, and KPIs to drive performance, visibility, and accountability across all project phases.
  • Ensure disciplined project execution through standardized documentation, close‑out procedures, and coordination with Operations.
  • Monitor financial performance and mitigate margin leakage through strong forecasting, CRM accuracy, and cost‑control practices.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to qualify opportunities, allocate resources, and ensure seamless project handoffs.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex client or vendor issues, driving solutions that uphold service excellence and profitability.
  • Oversee third‑party vendor performance, production schedules, and documentation compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement through post‑project evaluations and process enhancements that strengthen efficiency and margin performance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7–10+ years of leadership experience in engineering, construction, power systems, manufacturing, or industrial project management.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in project management, inside sales, and operations to achieve timelines, budgets, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Strong financial acumen, with expertise in budgeting, cost control, and margin optimization.
  • Skilled communicator comfortable representing the company in client meetings, site visits, and startup coordination, balancing customer focus with commercial objectives.
