A Heat Treat Operator job opportunity is available with our client in East Granby, CT. In this role you will be perform a variety of duties to set up and operate vacuum and braze furnaces used in heat-treating aircraft components to meet production schedules, complying with customer requirements and FAA regulations. To be considered for this role you will have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED);

or equivalent required. plus 3+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required

• 3+ years in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills
• Ability to read and interpret manual instructions, operation sheets, safety instructions, job orders, blueprints, quality specifications, temperature controls and flow controls
• Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as hardness testers
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, good communications skills

**** Must be able to work on the 2nd shift during initial training period.

• Perform a variety of duties to set up and operate vacuum and braze furnaces used in heat-treating aircraft components to meet production schedules, complying with customer requirements and FAA regulations
• Complete related paperwork and signoffs, including maintenance of heat-treating logs for all furnaces and parts.
• Interpret work orders, engine manuals, and blueprints to determine information such as type of operations and sequence of operations required.
• Ensure use of proper fixtures and tools; maintain adequate inventory levels of material to meet production goals. Requisition materials and tooling as required.
• Ensure regular maintenance of equipment including ovens and fixtures.
• Detect faulty operations and materials and report these and other problems to immediate supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
