Infant Caregiver

Overview

We are looking for Infant Caregivers. Every baby will form a loving relationship with their primary caregiver and receive care that is responsive to their individual differences. Infants flourish when they are free to explore and when they feel that caring adults encourage and take pleasure in their emerging interests and skills. Caregivers need experience with infants and must be loving and caring.

The child teacher ratio is 1 to 4, so you must be able to multi task and move quickly and be a good record keeper.

• Provide care for infants in a learning environment that supports exploration and development.
• Maintain loving, responsive relationships and encourage each infant’s emerging interests and skills.
• Multitask effectively in a 1:4 infant-to-teacher ratio and keep accurate records.
• Lead a team in the Infant Room when in the Lead Teacher role and work 5 half or full days per week.

• Lead Teacher (Infant Room): Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood or CDA, plus experience in an infant classroom; ability to lead a team and work 5 half or full days a week.
• Aide: Experience with infants.
• Assistant caregiver: Ability to care for children and willingness to be trained.

• You are able to enroll in Mainstay Retirement Programs after one year of employment.
• You will work in a strong woman-dominated organization and develop great relationships with talented co-workers.
• Salary is based on position, experience, education and reliability.
