Registered Nurse -ICU​/TCU Float Team thru 3rd weekend

Sign On Bonus: $10,000

• Department: ICU/TCU Float
• Schedule: Full‑Time, 7am‑7:30pm Monday thru Friday & every 3rd weekend

• Use independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, customer service orientation, focus on outcomes, and cost‑consciousness in all aspects of care.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans in accordance with the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care, Nursing Problem Care Sets, and clinical practice guidelines.
• Provide patient‑centered care, respecting rights, dignity, culture, and preferences; deliver education and pain management; involve family in care planning.
• Collaborate with patients, families, staff, and community agencies to develop discharge plans that prepare for continued care.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of nursing interventions, outcomes, and patient responses every shift.
• Perform core nursing procedures: dressing changes, catheterization, NG tube insertion, suctioning, IV therapy, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications per policy, monitor vital signs, lab values, I/O, and act on significant changes quickly.
• Respond to emergencies, including initiation of CPR and use of emergency equipment.
• Utilize SBAR and other standardized communication tools for patient status updates.
• Advocate for patients and families, resolve complaints, and maintain a safe environment with appropriate restraint documentation.
• Support quality improvement, participation in staff meetings, and mentorship of student nurses.
• Communicate with the team, observe patients, and provide leadership and guidance to staff.
• Work in a normal patient care environment, with moderate exposure to noise, dust, temperature, and communicable diseases.
• Complete required safety and unit‑specific education annually.
• Address ethical issues and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
• Certified BLS Provider (or Certified Instructor) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of an approved professional RN nursing program.
• No additional preferences.
