Obstetrical Technician​/Labor & Delivery​/Nights 3rd Weekend

  Full-time Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with every third weekend

• Prepare operating rooms and Labor/Delivery/Recovery Rooms for procedures by setting up instrumentation and equipment.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments during surgeries, maintaining sterile technique, and sterilizing surgical instruments.
• Support patient care under RN supervision, including observing patient conditions and documenting data.
• Participate in patient care planning and collaborate with healthcare team members to improve service quality.
• Assist with surgical procedures such as C-sections, including patient preparation and support during delivery.
• Monitor and maintain supplies, equipment, and instruments in the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

• Completion of a Scrub Technician program or equivalent scrub experience.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation preferred.
• Certified Surgical Assistant credential or equivalent scrub experience preferred.
• Interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective teamwork and patient interaction.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform tasks in a clinical environment.

• Attend new employee and department orientation.
• Pass competencies including scrub tech, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum care.
• Work in a patient care environment with exposure to communicable diseases and hazards.
