Cath Lab Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II

Job Details:

• Full-time weekday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM with one variable weekday off per week

• On-call requirements: 1 weekend per month (5:00 PM Friday to 6:30 AM Monday) and 4 weeknights per month (5:00 PM to 6:30 AM next day)

• No weekend commitment outside of on-call responsibilities

• Must have minimum 1-2 years of experience in cath/EP lab

• Must be able to scrub for all types of heart catheterizations, peripheral vascular, structural heart, and EP procedures

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• Preferably RCIS or RCES licensure, or ARRT licensure acceptable with scrub experience in cath lab

• Knowledge of Merge Hemo documentation system preferred

• Must demonstrate understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology

• Ability to recognize ECG waveform morphology, wave patterns, and lethal arrhythmias

• Must understand cardiac medications and pharmacokinetics related to cardiac and vascular functions

• Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and intervene appropriately during emergencies

• Calculate basic hemodynamic parameters and record catheterization events

• Perform cardiac outputs, oxygen saturations, and ACT measurements

• Ability to work in sterile environment for extended periods wearing lead aprons up to 5 lbs

• Must be comfortable working independently and within multidisciplinary teams

• High school diploma or equivalent required with graduation from accredited Allied Health Sciences program
