RN Registered Nurse – TCU – Full‑Time – Days 7 am–7:30 pm every 3rd Weekend

• Use independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
• Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion and customer service orientation, focus on process and outcomes, and cost‑consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients. (Seven Dimensions of Patient Care, Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, Nursing Problem Care Sets).
• Provide patient care that respects patient rights, dignity, values, culture, preferences, and expressed needs. Assess patient/family needs for information and education, plan and implement teaching, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Collaborate with patient/family, hospital staff, and community agencies to develop discharge plans.
• Perform and document assessments for risk factors, medication reconciliation, skin breakdown prevention, fall prevention, VTE prevention, aspiration, etc.
• Initiate and manage therapeutic regimens, basic nursing procedures, and medical interventions, including IV therapy, NG tube insertion, suctioning, wound care, and oral hygiene.
• Monitor patient physiologic parameters, document interventions, and respond to changes in respiratory, neurologic, cardiac, and urinary systems using SBAR and other standardized communication tools.
• Respond to emergencies via CPR, emergency equipment checks, and immediate interventions.
• Educate patients and families, facilitate discharge planning, coordinate referrals, and promote a safe environment.
• Encourage ethical practice, privacy compliance, cost‑effective use of resources, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide leadership, clear communication, and support to nursing staff, and maintain professional standards.
• Complete safety, unit‑specific and yearly education requirements and participate in teaching/mentoring of student nurses.

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained within 60 days of hire date or job transfer date.
• Certified BLS Provider or Certified Instructor obtained within 90 days of hire date or job transfer date.
• Graduate of an approved professional RN nursing program.
• No additional preferences.
