Registered Nurse - Med Surg Full Time
- Midnight Shift (3 - 12 hour shifts
-weekly) w/every 3rd weekend
Med Surg - This is a 55 Bed Med Surg Oncology, Hospital Unit. We're the inpatient Chemo unit. We have a hand-full of Chemo's every month. We do Chemo training after 6 months. We have in-patient Hospice. IV skills preferred. This is a fast pace unit that see's a heavy volume of admissions and discharges.
GENERALSUMMARY:
Uses independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients. Within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice, demonstrates clinical competence; compassion and customer service orientation; focus on process and outcomes; and cost-consciousness when assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to patients.

As a Registered Nurse at Genesys Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by using your independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process. You will work within the framework of the Seven Dimensions of Patient Care and Benner's Domains of Nursing Practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring clinical competence, compassion, and a focus on patient outcomes.

What You Will Do- Provide leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and their families.
- Effectively communicate pertinent patient/family information to the healthcare team.
- Participate in finding and implementing solutions for variances from patient goals.
