• Previous experience or training/education in a veterinary facility

• Capable of front‑office duties, telephone and computer skills required

• Phlebotomy
• IV catheter placement
• Preparing and restraining animals during procedures
• Anesthetic induction and monitoring
• Assisting with procedures
• Suture of cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues
• Apply bandages and/or splints
• Wound care
• Use of stethoscope and otoscope
• Advising pet owners on proper care

• Demonstrate excellent relations with clients/pets in waiting area and exam rooms
• Exceed client expectations of service
• Provide compassionate nursing care as top priority
• Housekeeping and maintenance
• Perform cursory examination of animals
• Recognize potential patient issues
• Clearly communicate findings to a doctor
• Record keeping
• Fill prescriptions and dispense medications as prescribed

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dependable attendance required
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Willingness to work long or irregular hours under pressure
• Ability to walk, bend, stand, squat, and reach constantly during an 8‑hour day

Salary: $17.50 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience.
