Registered Nurse Patient Care

Registered Nurses deliver individualized patient care through the nursing process, using assessment, communication, and clinical judgement within collaborative practice.

This Registered Nurse position provides care addressing each patient's needs and desired outcomes. The role includes patient assessment, care planning, teaching, counselling, and evaluation. It also involves collaboration with nursing personnel, supervision of non-professional staff, and support for new employees during orientation.

• Assess patient health care needs using nursing assessment tools
• Identify discharge needs and potential home services
• Provide nursing care supporting desired patient outcomes
• Deliver health teaching, counselling, and health promotion
• Evaluate nursing actions for further planning

• Current registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick
• Understanding and demonstrated application of the nursing process
• Experience with PCA's and epidurals
• Current CPR certification
• Effective communication, collaboration, and patient focus
