Teaching and Learning Assistant

Elevate student learning as a full-time Teaching and Learning Assistant at Forest Park Primary in Grand Falls-Windsor. Support teachers and enhance the educational experience in an inclusive setting.

This term position runs from September 8, 2026, to June 25, 2027. Reporting to the Principal, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement effective teaching strategies. Responsibilities include supporting social-emotional learning, assessing student progress, and gathering learning data to improve outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in planning responsive lessons

• Gather evidence of student learning for diverse instruction

• Create a safe and supportive learning environment

• Engage collaboratively with families and the community

• Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions

Requirements:

• Teacher’s Certificate Level Two from the Department of Education

• Experience in planning educational activities

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to use specialized assistive technologies

• Commitment to ongoing professional development
