Career Practitioner

Become a Career Practitioner with the Association for New Canadians in Grand Falls Windsor, NL. This full-time role supports newcomers in securing fulfilling employment while engaging local employers.

In this position, you will assist newcomers to Canada, focusing on employment opportunities in rural Newfoundland and Labrador. The role entails assessing clients' needs, developing action plans, and collaborating to enhance job placements. You can provide crucial support for career development and maintain a confidential, culturally responsive environment for diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess clients' education and skill enhancement needs

• Engage rural employers to identify hiring opportunities

• Collaborate with employers to match clients to roles

• Maintain accurate case notes and report on progress

• Offer support in career development and job maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

• 2–5 years of experience in career planning and support

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid Class 5 NL driver’s license
