Protestant Religious Education Coordinator – $18 - $20 per hour, commensurate with experience – Grand Forks AFB, ND 58205 USA

If so, we invite you to apply for the role of Protestant Religious Education (RE) Coordinator at Grand Forks Air Force Base. This is a contract-based position suited to someone with a background in ministry or education, who is committed to delivering high-quality religious programming within a military chapel setting.
In this role, you’ll manage and deliver a full range of Protestant religious education programs for children and adults. You’ll work closely with the Wing Chaplain and the Chaplain in Charge (CIC) to ensure programs are well-organized, spiritually enriching, and in line with Air Force chapel guidelines.

This is a part-time, 1099 contract position.
Working hours:
(Monday-Friday 0730‑1630 and Sunday 1100‑1200).
Please note:
Candidates selected for an interview will be required to provide supporting documents, such as degree certificates, transcripts, and professional certifications.
- Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, discipleship classes, and adult ministry programs.
- Develop annual calendars and manage facility use for education events.
- Collaborate with chapel staff and volunteers for effective program delivery.
- Recruit, train and support volunteers.
- Ensure all materials and curriculums are approved prior to use.
- Maintain records of attendance and report at regular chapel meetings.
- Uphold security and safeguarding protocols, including background checks for volunteers.
- Assist with budgeting and ordering of resources.
- Support chapel publicity efforts for educational events.
- Has at least one year’s experience running Protestant religious education programs (military experience is a plus but not required).
- Demonstrates strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Can work harmoniously in a multi‑faith environment.
- Lives within 100 miles of Grand Forks AFB and can provide their own transport.
- Is able to pass required background checks and provide evidence of standing in the Christian faith.
- Has relevant training, 24 credit hours in religious education, or two years’ experience in a ministry setting.
