HR Manager Grand Forks

Overview

This is a unique opportunity to shape HR for Agristo’s first US site and build a strong people culture from the ground up. As the HR Manager, you will be the key local HR contact, translating Agristo’s global HR frameworks into practical solutions for the US organisation. This hands‑on role focuses on employee support, compliance with US labour laws, and close collaboration with the global HR team.

At Agristo, you will help build our US operations, grow personally and professionally, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company in the United States.

• Workforce Planning:
  Adapt and monitor the people roadmap for the US Production facility in Grand Forks, aligned with business needs and growth plans.
• HR Team Building:
  Build and develop the local HR team based on identified needs, in close collaboration with the global HR team.
• HR Frameworks & Processes:
  Implement scalable HR systems and processes, and adapt global policies to fit the US context.
• Development:
  Localise Agristo competency frameworks, design US‑specific development programmes, and set up the local Agristo Academy.
• Training & Development:
  Coordinate and deliver training initiatives using Agristo Academy resources.
• HR Operations:
  Manage day‑to‑day HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations.
• Compliance & Governance:
  Ensure full compliance with US labour laws and company policies.

  Guide local managers in performance management, coaching, and team developmentli>
• Culture & Engagement:
  Foster a positive work environment that reflects Agristo’s values and guiding principles, with a strong focus on safety, health, and employee wellbeing.
• Community & Employer Branding:
  Build relationships with local stakeholders and support employer branding and community initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) with at least 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in food or manufacturing.
• Proven experience in hands‑on HR operations, ideally in a start‑up or scale‑up environment.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently and proactively.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Pragmatic, solution‑oriented, and approachable.
• In‑depth knowledge of US labour law and HR compliance.
• Comfortable working within global frameworks and collaborating with international teams.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ideally based in the Grand Forks region.
