The Production Supervisor manages and coordinates manufacturing personnel to ensure daily production goals are met. This position ensures production demands are met daily, collaborating with leads and supervisors.
Core Functions- Manage and coordinate manufacturing personnel to ensure daily production goals are met.
- Actively participate in all aspects of human relations, including hiring, orientation, training, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and scheduling; coordinate with Human Resources.
- Ensure quality standards are followed and corrective action is taken to prevent future errors.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Serve as a positive leader and mentor by exhibiting and instructing desirable behaviors and skillsets.
- Audit department THOS board and identify bottlenecks or other production issues and with appropriate team to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Actively engage in learning additional responsibilities within department and serve as a backup for all positions within the production group.
- Participate and support lean and continuous improvement projects.
- Associate degree in a manufacturing related field is required.
- 3+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Skilled in ERP Software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to find solutions and deal proactively with work‑related problems.
- Ability to calculate run rates.
- Ability to evaluate hours per unit impact.
- Occasional travel may be required.
