The UAV Assembler is responsible for hands‑on mechanical and electrical assembly of unmanned aircraft systems within the Government Systems production line. This role supports the Team Lead - UAV Assembly by executing detailed build tasks, following engineering documentation, and ensuring high‑quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, works well with their hands, and can follow precise instructions to support day‑to‑day prototype and production assembly operations.
Job Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on electrical and mechanical assembly of UAV components, sub‑assemblies, and full aircraft builds.
- Install wiring harnesses, avionics, sensors, servos, payloads, and mechanical hardware.
- Execute crimping, soldering, routing, bonding, composite trimming, and general assembly tasks.
- Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and 3D models.
- Conduct in‑process quality checks and report deviations to the Team Lead immediately.
- Complete build travelers, production logs, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment with proper tool control.
- Support root‑cause analysis, rework, and troubleshooting activities as directed.
- Assist with functional checks and basic system verification during aircraft build‑up.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance build efficiency and reduce rework.
- Support occasional fielding, repair, or test events as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Hands‑on experience in mechanical or electrical assembly (UAV, aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing preferred).
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and detailed work instructions.
