Overview

Electronics Technicians build electronic test equipment and components, performing duties such as making soldering connections, installing electrical components, stripping wire, forming leads, reporting major problems to supervisors, and following safety standards. They also assemble or modify electrical or electronic equipment and processes through training, knowledge, and leadership. A continuous improvement mindset is essential to reach the company's goals.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assemble electronic test equipment such as cable assemblies, electro‑mechanical assemblies, circuit card assemblies, and electronic component assemblies.
  • Operate and program automated wire cutting and crimping equipment.
  • Conduct self and peer inspections.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to achieve profitability and improve quality.
  • Document build process and redline prints as required.
  • Work with engineering to suggest processes to facilitate improvements.
  • Lead and work with individual project team members to help them problem‑solve.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
  • Knowledge of electrical components and circuitry.
  • Experience working with electrical harness building or chassis wiring (preferred).
  • Computer skills required.
  • Must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to work with small objects requiring good eye/hand coordination & dexterity.
  • May be asked to travel domestically.
  • To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations: a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized), a lawful permanent resident of the United States, or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
Skill Requirements
  • Monitor/Examine work to verify conformance to quality/specifications.
  • Keen attention to detail, maintains focus and limits distractions.
  • Displays problem‑solving skills with the ability to break down processes into smaller processes while explaining the problem and defining the solution.
  • Ability to think logically to comprehend assembly notes and build specs, but also interpret engineering schematics.
  • Read and interpret wire lists, schematics, build specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Solder electrical and electronic connections and components.
  • Use computers to enter, access, and retrieve data.
Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
  • Ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation/keyboard.
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
  • The position will require walking, standing, squatting, crouching, stooping, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, sitting, repetitive motion and kneeling.
