Equipment Operator

Full‑Time in Grand Forks, BC - Mid Level - Operator

BC Eco Industrial Services is looking for an Equipment Operator to join our chipping, grinding, and Log Yard operations in Grand Forks. Key Responsibilities
  • Wheel Loader: moving chips, supplying the chippers with logs.
  • Log Loader: unloading trucks, feeding the chippers, down decking logs.
  • Chipper: feeding pulp logs.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.
  • General job set‑up, site clean‑up, and materials removal.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Wheel Loader, Log Loader or Excavator.
  • Preferable experience using a Chipper.
  • Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance.
  • Motivated self‑starter with a positive attitude and proven safety record.
  • Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
  • Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground, chip piles and log yard locations.
  • Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
