• Design, develop, and optimize tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot tooling-related production issues, implementing effective solutions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of tools, including maintenance, repair, and replacement.
• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure tool performance and product quality.
• Conduct tool trials, validations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Specify and select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for tooling components.
• Ensure all tooling meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, or maintenance within a production environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, EDM, injection molding, or stamping.
• Knowledge of tool materials, heat treatment, and surface coatings.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis)
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM)
• Proficiency in automation and robotics integration for tooling applications
• Demonstrated experience in tooling supplier development and management
